FIELD NOTES / RESEARCH & ATTRIBUTION

Wonder is better with receipts.

This page tells you which elements of Mystical are drawn from research, which are simplified demonstrations, and which are pure imagination. A citation supports a claim; it does not endorse every metaphor nearby.

Our five labels

OBSERVATION / SCIENCE

Testable explanations

Apparent retrograde motion follows from perspective and orbital geometry. Idealized independent fair coin tosses do not have a memory. Dreaming happens across sleep stages; its functions are still being researched.

CULTURAL HISTORY

Descriptions of traditions

Roman planetary myths, historical oracles and tarot's history are accounts of cultural practices and ideas. Their history is not proof of supernatural effectiveness, and the site does not claim to cover every culture.

INTERPRETATION / METAPHOR

Ways to make meaning

Symbolic readings are possibilities for reflection, not diagnoses, fortunes, personality tests or evidence about other people's intentions.

SIMULATION / ILLUSTRATION

Models with boundaries

The chance lab samples from JavaScript's Math.random(). Its 1,000 sequences are illustrative rather than a theoretical probability. The orbit scene uses circular, coplanar orbits with approximate periods and an arbitrary phase offset. Neither displays current planetary positions.

ORIGINAL ART

Fictional scenes and prompts

Original tarot cards, dream scenes, the oracle's questions, prose and chamber artwork are fictional and newly authored for this site. They do not measure or predict anything about the visitor.

Production & privacy

Made for the Sahilverse, a project by Sahil Tayal. This edition develops the six-room concept from an owner-provided draft, with original supplemental writing and code. The site uses system fonts, authored CSS and inline SVG and has no external scripts, font imports, cookies, analytics or server-backed writing. Drafts are stored only in the current tab's memory and can be explicitly downloaded as text.

Background sources checked for this edition on 24 October 2026. Web pages can change. This site is not a clinical, astronomical navigation or divination service.
